Natural Wonders of The World

Sahara Desert (North Africa)
Almost having the same size as China, the Sahara is the third largest desert in the world (at 9.4 million square kilometers). One of the many beautiful things that make this place a great natural wonder is the mystical sand dunes, whose calming beauty seems to stretch on forever.
The Great Barrier Reef (Australia)
This is another constant in top natural attractions in the world. As the world’s largest coral system (it could be seen from outer space) you already know that this part of the world is something that’s just too awe-inspiring. Home to beautiful and diverse creatures such as dolphins, sharks, whales, sea turtles, saltwater crocodiles, and hundreds of unique coral species, this is a true natural wonder that the earth is very lucky to have.
Iguazu Falls (South America)
Shared by the Iguacu National Park in Brazil and the Iguazu National Park in Argentina (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites), these falls are taller than the Niagara Falls, and just as breathtaking. It was even reported that First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt exclaimed “Poor Niagara!” upon seeing it. When it’s your turn to visit, you be the judge!
Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis (Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, etc.)
So many stories, poems, and novels have used this natural phenomena as a topic, and the amazing thing is that it’s not fiction—you can actually see it for yourself. You can choose between the aforementioned places, which are all fortunate witnesses to this breathtaking natural phenomena in the sky.
Do you have other places to add to this list? Surely there will be a lot more to include, and we’d love to hear about your ideas! Give us your suggested places—we could always create more lists about this topic.
